Site description

Newmont Mining Company’s TS Power Plant is a 220-MW coal-fired plant located in Eureka County, NV. Plant TS began operations in 2008 as a power supply plant for the local Newmont Gold Mining Industry. This plant is one of only two remaining coal plants in the state of Nevada. The company is currently in progress converting the facility to natural gas, projected to be completed by the end of 2022 or start of 2023. Plant TS’s CCR landfill is regulated under the CCR-rule.
