Site description

Newmont Mining Company’s TS Power Plant is a 220 MW coal-fired plant located in Eureka County, NV. Plant TS began operations in 2008 as a power supply plant for the local Newmont Gold Mining Industry. This plant is one of only two remaining coal plants in the state of Nevada. Newmont Mining Company has stated that they plan to keep Plant TS in operation until 2030. Plant TS’s CCR landfill is regulated under the CCR-rule. You can find the industry reported data here.
